Nusret Minelayer

On March 18, 1915, Çanakkale was the most famous mine ship in the world that changed the fate of the Gallipoli Operation. The name of the Nusret Ship, which was completed in Germany in 1912, was changed four times in 1922: Nusret, Assistance in 1937, Nusret in 1939 and Captain Nusret in 1966. In 1937 the ship served as a scout ship and in 1937 as a reconnaissance vessel. It brought to Gölcük the naval base in 1955 to be a museum ship. It was used as cargo ship between 1962-1966. Nusret minelayer, sinking as a capsule in April 1989 near Mersin, was recovered in 1999 and was transformed into a museum in 2003 by the help of Burhanettin Kocamaz, Mayor of Tarsus.

Saint Paul Well
Born in Tarsus, Saint Paul has an important place in the Bible. It has transformed Christianity into a world religion and spread it to wide masses. He is also the founder of the Pavlik Churches. Paul caused the foundations of his theology.

During some excavations; The foundations of Paul's house were discovered and protected. St. Paul's well is in the garden of his house. Estimated A.D.17-18. St. Petersburg, built in the 16th century. St. Paul's Church is in the status of a memorial museum and it can be visited as pilgrimage.
