Aya Tekla

Aya Tekla Stretched by Paul's sermons, at the age of 17 devoted himself to Christianity. Until the release of Christianity in 312, the cave where Aya Tekla lived was used as a secret place of worship and was considered sacred by Christians. IV. century, the cave was converted into a church. It is in Meryemlik (Silifke) one of the oldest and most important center of Christianity.

Alahan Monastery

Alahan Monastery, one of the rare examples of Byzantine religious architecture, was built in the V. century. Alahan Monastery, which is in the temporary list of Unesco World Cultural Heritage, consists of a monastery, its churches and annexes.
